    1 2 Outlook Express Backup is small utility designed to create backup or archive files of your email data from your favorite Email Client, which may easily be restored when necessary. It supports the top 9 Email Clients such as Outlook Express ( 5.x and 6.0 ), Microsoft Outlook, Eudora ( Pro and Light ) and IncrediMail. It allows you to backup and restore your messages, address book, settings, mail and news accounts, message rules, blocked senders lists and the signatures. All backup functions can be processed either separately or together and the user can choose to save or restore data.
    Using the Schedule feature you can schedule backups daily, weekly or at any time period of your choice. You can backup data on one computer and restore on another, thus making Email Saver not just a backup utility but also a synchronization tool. The program is easy to use and has a simplified user interface, in the form of a wizard, very useful for beginners.
    The user interface is multilingual: English, French, Dutch, and Rusian.

    Registration

    The name and the key which you received after ordering must be typed in the appropriate field exactly as you find it on your license or order confirmation. Please note that the name is case sensitive.

    Often, registration codes are very difficult to re-create by typing. It is possible that the simple copy and paste function outlined below will help. The registration code you have received is very sensitive-it must be entered exactly for the product to work.

    You may want to try to copy and paste the registration information into the fields of the program that prompt you for the code. Highlight the registration code with your mouse in the email message containing your code. Then right click your mouse-you will get a pop up menu that gives you the option to "copy". Choose this option.

    Now, click in the registration code field, then right click to choose the option to "paste". This function should move the information from the email message with the code in it to the registration field of Zip Backup to CD without typing anything at all.

    If you are not given the option to copy and paste from your right mouse button, you may also try to use the key codes to copy and paste. To copy all you need to do is highlight the text you want to copy, and then press the CTRL key and the C key at the same time. To paste you need simply use the CTRL key and the V key at the same time. This will do essentially the same as the mouse click method.

    Backup Run 1 2 Outlook Express Backup and select the Backup tab.

    1. In the left side of the window is the list with supported Email Clients. You can select the desired Email Client ( and version if two different versions of the same client are installed )

    2. Check the Identities and Items to be backed up.

    3. Specify the location and the filename where the backup should be created.

    4. Select the entities you would like to backup, then click Create Backup!

    5. Click Next, and a new window will appear with the progress bar indicating the current status of process.

    If you want to protect the backup file please select the Options Tab, check "Protect backup file with password" and enter the desired password. The file will be encrypted using strong 128 bit encryption technology.

    At Options Tab, you can also select to split the backup file to multiple volumes ( for floppy disk, CD 650 Mb, CD700Mb).

    Note: Please pay attention to the location where you want the backup file to be saved.

    It is recommended that you use your favorite CD burning software to burn the backup file to a CD, or copy it to a safe place (such as a ZIP drive, a Network computer, or an other hard drive on the same computer).



    Restore Run 1 2 Outlook Express Backup and select the Restore Tab.

    1. At the left side of the screen is a tree view with the current folders and files on your computer. Please select the backup file that you would like to restore.

    2. As soon as you select the backup file at the step above, the identities and items backed up in the file will be shown in the lists in the right side of the screen. Check the identities and items that you would like to restore, and proceed to the next step.

    Note: Some Email Clients store different items in the same data files, therefore for these Email Clients some items can be bound together and therefore you can't deselect them.

    3. Select the Email Client to restore to, and click Next.

    4. Select the location to restore; you have two options: a) restore directly to the Email Client ( this will overwrite any information in the Email Client, such as emails, address book, etc ) b) restore to a folder in order to import the emails later using the Email Client import function.

    5. Click Restore, a window displaying the restore progress will appear.



    Schedule To display the Schedule settings please select the Schedule tab.

    In the left side of the screen you have a list with the Supported Email Clients, please check the Clients that you would like to backup.

    In the right side of the screen you have the following controls:

    · Identities List. Here you can check the Identities you would like to backup. · Items List, you can check or uncheck the items you desire.

    You can easily setup to have the Email Data backed up daily, weekly, monthly and at the time of the day of your choice.

    Under the controls mentioned above you have the Backup Folder, where you can enter the folder where the scheduled backups should be created.

    Note: This folder can be different from the Manual Backup Folder.

    The Backup Mode can be set at Options, and can be:

    · Overwrite the last backup file - will overwrite the last backup files at the same Email Clients · Backup to a new file - will create each time a new backup file · Keep only the last [ ] backups ( Delete Older ) - will keep only the last specified backups.
